Rob Hart

Rob Hart is a valued member of the AgriSmart team, taking on the role of Business Development Manager (NZ). His extensive background and passion for fostering connections make him an essential part of our mission to support the agricultural community.

Rob’s enthusiasm for business ignited during his studies for an Honours Degree in European Business Studies. His career path has been diverse and impactful:

Sailing to Success: Rob began his professional journey as a Sailing Instructor and Operations Manager at a sailing school in Southampton, UK, blending his love for the outdoors with leadership.

Banking Expertise: He then transitioned to the banking sector, where he spent a decade at a major UK bank. Rob held various positions, ultimately serving as a Private Banking Manager and then as a Branch Manager.

New Zealand Adventure: In 2018, Rob made the leap to New Zealand, where he dedicated four years to a charitable trust as an Area Manager. In this role, he mentored apprentices and built strong relationships with business owners in the plumbing and electrical trades.

Tech Transition: Before joining AgriSmart in 2023, Rob ventured into the SaaS industry with PaySauce, further enhancing his skill set.

Since moving to New Zealand, Rob has embraced the small-town charm of Cambridge. He shares his life with his wife Jana, their 13-year-old daughter, 9-year-old twin boys, and Oakley, their miniature dachshund.

When he’s not busy driving business growth at AgriSmart, you can find Rob:

On the Football Field: A football enthusiast, Rob enjoys supporting and refereeing his children’s games and plays for the Cambridge Over 35’s team.

At the Beach: Mount Maunganui holds a special place in Rob’s heart. It’s his go-to spot for family outings, walks with Oakley, and working on his surfing skills.

Exploring New Zealand: Whether biking or taking the caravan on adventures, Rob loves creating lasting family memories while discovering all that New Zealand has to offer.
