Who we are
AgriSmart is the trading name operated by TimeSmart Ltd, a private New Zealand company. AgriSmart provides workforce and payroll management services including timesheets, payroll, human resources, and health and safety.
We provide these services to businesses (employers) through our mobile application (the App).
Purpose of this document
This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use explains how we collect personal information, how we use it, who it may be shared with, and the conditions that apply when using the App.
Your use of the App is at your sole risk. The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Your choice
By choosing to use our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this document. We collect personal information to provide and improve the Service. We will not use or share your information except as outlined here.
Your contractual employer or the business you are providing services to will also have access to your personal data and any data collected through the App.
Information we collect
We collect personal information from both you and your employer including:
Information provided during account creation
• Name
• Address
• Email
• Phone number
• Employee code
• Business details
Information you provide through the App
• Any communication with AgriSmart
• Timesheet entries
• Comments, job IDs, block or row identifiers and activity details
Location data (GPS)
• GPS coordinates logged with timesheet entries to support accuracy, job identification and compliance
• Background location data may be collected when enabled by your employer’s configuration
Usage data
• How you navigate and interact with the App
• Features used, taps, clicks, screen movement and timing
• Cookies and analytics data
Device and log data
• IP address (where applicable)
• Device type and operating system
• Browser type (if using a web version)
• Device identifiers
• Crash logs and performance data
Why we collect this information
We collect and use this information to:
• Provide timesheet, payroll, job cost management, health and safety and employee management services to your employer
• Improve the App and user experience
• Ensure accuracy of timesheet entries and activities using GPS location
• Support employees and employers with technical issues
• Fix bugs, crashes and data collection errors
• Communicate with you through phone, email or other methods
• Maintain security and performance standards
Who we share information with
Your information may be shared with:
Your employer or contracting business
They access your timesheets, location data, job activity information and other work related details.
Approved third parties
We may share information with trusted third party vendors that provide hosting, storage, software and related technology required to operate the App.
These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to support their services and, in turn, AgriSmart’s service.
Anonymised statistical data
We may create anonymised and aggregated statistical data from your use of the App.
Once anonymised, this data may be used for internal purposes such as:
• Improving services
• Developing new features
• Supporting best practice guidance
• Analysing industry trends
This data does not identify you personally.
Data retention
TimeSmart Ltd will retain personal data for as long as your employer remains a client.
Some data may be retained for up to seven years to meet New Zealand legal or government requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information and use commercially acceptable measures to maintain security.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App may contain links to external websites. These sites are not operated by AgriSmart.
We strongly recommend reviewing their privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third party sites.
Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been provided, we will delete it promptly.
If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will take effect immediately once posted within the App or on our website. We encourage you to review this page regularly for updates.
Use of the Service
If you choose not to provide required information or do not allow GPS tracking, we may be unable to provide some or all App features to you, your employer or the business you contract for.
Requesting your personal information
You and your employer have the right to request a copy of personal information we hold about you and ask for corrections if anything is wrong.
All requests must be made through your employer.
AgriSmart staff require employer confirmation and suitable identification before releasing any data.
