Who we are
AgriSmart is the trading name operated by TimeSmart Ltd, a private New Zealand company. AgriSmart provides workforce and payroll management services including timesheets, payroll, human resources, and health and safety.
These services are delivered to businesses (employers) through our mobile application (the App).
Purpose of this document
This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use explains how we collect personal information, how we use it, who it may be shared with, and the conditions that apply when using the App.
Your use of the App is at your sole risk. The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Your choice
By choosing to use our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. We collect personal information to provide and improve the Service. We will not use or share your information except as outlined in this document.
Your employer or the business you contract to will also have access to personal data that is collected through the App.
Information we collect
We collect personal information from both you and your employer including:
Details provided during account creation
• Name
• Address
• Email
• Phone number
• Employee code
• Business details
Information captured while using the App
• Timesheet entries
• Comments, job IDs, block or row identifiers and activity details
• Any communication with AgriSmart through the App
Location data (GPS)
• GPS coordinates captured when submitting timesheets to support accuracy, job identification and compliance
• Background location may be collected if enabled by your employer’s settings or your device permissions
App usage data
• Interaction patterns, taps, views and navigation within the App
• Analytics and cookies when relevant
• Loading times and general performance behaviour
Device and log information
• IP address (if using the web version)
• Device model and operating system
• Browser type (if applicable)
• Device identifiers
• Crash reports and error logs
Why we collect this information
We collect and process this information to:
• Deliver timesheet, payroll, job costing, health and safety and workforce management services
• Support accurate timesheet entries using GPS location
• Improve the App and overall user experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Maintain App performance and fix errors or crashes
• Communicate with you when required
Who we share information with
Information may be shared with:
Your employer or contracting business
They can access your timesheets, location data and work related information entered in the App.
Third party service providers
We may share information with trusted hosting, storage, software and technology providers that support the App infrastructure.
These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver their services and, in turn, AgriSmart’s service.
Anonymised statistical data
We may create anonymised and aggregated statistical information from your use of the App.
Once anonymised, this data cannot identify you and may be used to:
• Improve our services
• Develop new features
• Provide insights on industry trends
• Support best practice development
Data retention
TimeSmart Ltd will retain your data for as long as your employer is a client.
Some records may be held for up to seven years to meet New Zealand legal or government requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information and maintain security.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection.
Links to external sites
The App may include links to third party websites.
These sites are not operated by AgriSmart. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
AgriSmart is not responsible for the practices or content of third party websites.
Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will take effect immediately once posted in the App or on our website.
We encourage users to review this document periodically.
Use of the Service
If you choose not to provide required information or do not allow GPS tracking, we may be unable to provide some or all features to you or your employer.
Requesting your personal information
You and your employer have the right to request a copy of your personal information and to request corrections if needed.
Requests must be made through your employer.
AgriSmart staff will require employer confirmation and suitable identification before releasing any data.
